Sally and Lori were born and raised in Monmouth County, NJ.  They first met each other in preschool and have been friends ever since.  They have been by each other’s side through all of life’s momentous occasions and now are happy to be raising their kids in homes that stand just two miles apart from one another.

Sally is a stay-at-home mom who relentlessly searched the internet, local journals, etc. to find new, fun and educational things to do with her three beautiful children.  Daily naptime was consumed with this endeavor as she quickly learned that there is a lot going on in and around Monmouth County, NJ for kids.

Lori, a working mother of a beautiful daughter named Emersyn and handsome son named Dashiell, did not have the time to research upcoming events and therefore most often happened upon events by happenstance and usually too late to enjoy the fun.

One fateful night just after Easter when Emersyn missed an Easter Egg Hunt going on in the park on her very own street, Sally and Lori decided to create a website that would serve all moms and families: stay-at-home and working alike.  They decided all families would benefit from having a comprehensive calendar that listed all of the events going on in and around Monmouth County, NJ so that the stay-at-home moms could spend their children’s naptimes doing things for themselves (hah! That’s a joke. We don’t really think cleaning the house and doing laundry are things that moms do for themselves) and working moms without the time to research events would still be in the know.

Thus was born calendarforkids.com.  We hope that you enjoy this website and visit it often.  We are constantly adding new events so we encourage you to check the site daily.  We also encourage you to register for our newsletter that will feature upcoming events and highlight some of our favorite vendors.
