Description:

Baltimore Area Special Hockey, Inc. offers an ice hockey program for both children and adults with a brain injury or developmental disability such as Autism and Down Syndrome. The program provides participants the opportunity to play ice hockey in an environment adapted to each of their ability. Special Hockey is not only recreational but therapeutic. It emphasizes social interaction, self reliance, concentration and willingness to adapt to new experiences with a sense of accomplishment and pride.

Description:

Ten summer day camps designed for youth with disabilities ages 6–21 operate for five weeks at locations throughout Baltimore County. The camps typically operate Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Children with disabilities are encouraged to register and participate in the summer programs, playgrounds and camps that are operated by the local recreation and parks councils located throughout Baltimore County.

The Performing Arts Camp, a day camp with a theater arts focus, is for children with or without disabilities ages 6 and older. The camp meets at the North Point Government Center, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for five weeks.
