Summer Camp at Sandy Hook is a hands-on marine sciences program with both lab and field work that explores the marine life and habitats of Sandy Hook's beaches and estuaries.
We'll cover marine life and their habitats, physical oceanography, and water chemistry. The classes take place in NOAA's real working marine sciences laboratory and outside on the beaches, estuaries and forests of Sandy Hook. The teachers are all from the marine sciences faculty at MAST (the Marine Academy of Science and Technology).
This is a one week camp that is supported by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). We offer four sessions: July 8-12, July 15-19, July 22-26 and July 29 - August 2. Classes meet from 8-1. The price is $300 per week.

As the summer extension of Ranney School, our summer programs offer an outstanding selection of Academic, Gifted and Talented, Fine and Performing Arts courses, as well as Day, Trip and Sport Camps. We invite you to read more about all the exciting opportunities we offer.
Our elementary and high school courses continue to expand with additional offerings this year in art courses for elementary and high school students. In addition, a High School Prep Course that focuses on reading, writing and study skills foundations has been developed for students entering the ninth grade in the fall.
Our Interactive Preschool Adventure weeks have been doubled to provide eight highly engaging, cross-disciplined themed weeks where skill-building is the result of fun, fun, fun!
Additional elementary STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) enrichment courses have been added this year in robotics, science and math, including Singapore Math. Our architecture, engineering, math, science and technology courses are very popular so please sign up early to reserve your child’s place in these highly dynamic courses.
This summer promises to be an exciting one with further enhanced Gifted and Talented courses designed to meet the needs of students who exhibit the advanced cognitive skills and intrinsic motivation to delve deeply into a topic of interest. This enrichment curriculum challenges students to extend their learning by developing higher order thinking skills, and provides applications for inquiry, project-centered learning and shared discussion.
In addition, our state-of-the-art sports facilities offer the perfect venue for a full range of athletic opportunities that help children develop skills, confidence, leadership and teamwork. SPORTS CAMPS ARE AVAILABLE FOR BASKETBALL, SOCCER, TENNIS, SWIMMING, BOYS’ LACROSSE, GOLF AND FENCING.
